Fresh & Frozen Meat Transport
Boxed protein and frozen product moved cold, sealed and documented — between processors, distributors and cold storage.
Protein Has No Margin for a Warm Trailer
Meat is the least forgiving freight on the road. Product that drifts out of range does not just lose quality — it becomes a food-safety question, and the paperwork trail behind it gets examined closely. Receivers at distribution centres know this, which is why protein loads get checked harder at the dock than almost anything else.
Spider Trans hauls fresh and frozen protein out of the Central Valley for processors, distributors and cold-storage operations. Three trucks, active interstate authority since 2022, and a process built around the assumption that someone will check our numbers at delivery.

Protein We Move
Boxed beef
Primals, subprimals and boxed product between processors, further-processors and distribution.
Poultry
Same origin, same destination, every week. Predictable freight is the easiest kind to commit a truck to, and it prices better because we are not running empty on the return.
Pork
Fresh cuts and frozen product on standard protein temperature ranges.Fresh cuts and frozen product on standard protein temperature ranges.
Frozen protein
Anything running −10°F to 0°F, on trailers brought fully down before loading rather than during transit.
Processed and packaged meats
Sausage, deli product and packaged goods with a steady chill requirement.
We do not haul hanging meat. Rail-equipped trailers are a different piece of equipment and we will not pretend otherwise — if you need hanging beef moved, you need a carrier with hanging rail systems, and we will say so rather than take the load.

Fresh protein runs colder than most produce — near or slightly below the freezing point of water, since the product itself freezes lower. Your bill of lading governs. If your spec differs, we run yours.
What Protein Loads Get From Us
Sanitation between commodities
Trailers are cleaned between loads, and protein does not follow freight it should not follow. This is basic, and it is also where cheap carriers cut.
Fully pre-cooled, not cooling en route
A frozen load going into a trailer still at 20°F is already compromised. The box is at temperature before it reaches your dock.
Seal integrity
Loads are sealed at origin and the seal number goes on the paperwork. An intact seal at delivery answers most of the questions a receiver is going to ask.
Documentation that survives a dispute
Set point, seal number, signed bill of lading. When a distribution centre challenges a delivery, the carrier with records wins the conversation and the carrier without them eats the claim.
Food-Grade Freight, Handled to the Rule
Protein freight falls under the FDA’s FSMA Sanitary Transportation rule alongside other human food — pre-cooling, sanitation, temperature control in transit, and records available to the shipper. We operate to that standard as a matter of routine.
